Most of us will often make all kinds of excuses when it comes to taking off weight. Due to this, we w
ill stop ourselves from starting our diet regimen, we gain more weight and get disappointed again. How do we stop the vicious cycle of weight loss excuses?
We all make weight loss excuses, I don't have time, it's too hard, I'll just gain it back, and on and on. Losing weight the conventional ways is not that easy, but if you want to succeed, you will have to discipline yourself.
The most common excuses include, but are not limited to:
- I don't have time to exercise
- It takes too long to prepare healthy meals.
- I don't have the energy to exercise.
- No support structure
- I don't feel good
- Exercise is boring
The excuses above certainly are not all encompassing. You may have noticed that quite a few of these are pretty lame excuses. So how can we stop making these weight loss excuses?
Attempt to find out why you are making excuses not to start. Are they acceptable excuses? If they are not then why are you waiting to take action? Most people do not like being overweight, and yet they will do nothing about the situation. They are afraid that they may fail again and still be overweight, or worse, gain more weight than before the diet.
The way you think will affect your success with your weight loss goal. If you are negative, the more excuses you will come up with, and you will more often than not, fail. Do not allow a low self esteem to tear you down. You must strive ever more diligently for what is important to you.
A lack of time for exercise is one of the more common excuses, because we may be too occupied with other parts of our lives. The lack of time is really not a valid excuse when you really think about it, if we feel that losing weight is important to us, you need to find time no matter how busy you are. Start doing as much as you can each and every day and in no time at all, you will begin to feel
more energetic and confident. After all, starting is many times the most difficult part.
